World Vision

Are you one of the sponsors for the World Vision? For me no, I mean Not Yet, but Ady has been sponsoring 3 kids and I always help him with the gifts and the postage.

He will be very happy and excited everytime he receives a letter from his sponsor child via World Vision. But he did not feel the same for the past few days when he received a news from World Vision.

WHY?

He received a bad news from the World Vision Management that one of the girl that he has been sponsoring for few years ago has left the program and starting to work. Both of us felt very very wasted for the girl, as she is only 15 years old.

With only RM50.00 per month, what can the kids get? To us, it may be very little, as everything is so expensive thesedays. Just a normal meal for two at an air-conditioned restaurant and sometimes even at a normal kopitiam will cost us more than RM50.00 with a simple 2 meals and 2 drink, right?

But for them back in China, RM50.00 can get them all the necessary stationeries for school and sometimes the health care (only). What about their daily lives? Ady's ex-sponsored kid has left the program and started working at the age of 15. Do you think anybody will be so willingly to leave school for work. Just ask any one of us who has been in the working world. 100% of us would prefer schooling rather than working. And back to the girl's story. After hours of consoling Ady not to be saddened by this news, he finally agreed that the cost of living is not enough for her family and that should be the reason why she left the program. She is a good and obedient girl with an ambition to become a teacher in the future as what she wrote to Ady previously. Now, by leaving school at such a young age, I hope she can find a good job for earning and continue with her studies and ambition in the future. Bless her.

So when she left the program, the World Vision organiser quickly find a replacement for Ady. She is a very cute 7 year old girl from LiPing, China (same province as the previous girl). Since her birthday is at the end of this month, Ady decided to send her a birthday card.

....and this is her birthday card. We both hope that she will be very happy to receive this card from his sponsor.

I probably think that Ady will soon write a letter for this girl, and one of the contents will be telling her not to give up in her studies no matter what happens. :)
